JOU major wins Asian study experience

Sean Rose, a junior Journalism and English major, is spending June 9-22 in Japan and South Korea as one of nine winners of the Roy W. Howard National Collegiate Reporting Competition sponsored by the Scripps Howard Foundation.

Sean is a Kernel staff writer and will be the 2007-08 managing editor. Students submitted examples of their published work and an essay about their interest in international issues.
